Timrå is located on the coast in the middle of Sweden, between two cities, offering a perfect interplay of sea, forest, mountains, and wilderness. Timrå hosts both bandy and ice hockey at an elite level. Timrå is known as a business-friendly municipality. The municipality ranked second best in Norrland according to Svenskt Näringsliv's ranking of business climate in 2015, and tenth in the country regarding service to businesses. In 2015, we received the award for Sweden's second-best and Norrland's best tap water. By 2025, Timrå aims to be a strong municipality in a growing region.
