Business development and recruitment for increased inclusion. Six years ago, entrepreneur Dan Olofsson and municipal politician Luciano Astudillo started Uppstart Malmö where the municipality, the employment agency, and business collaborate to help small businesses grow and thereby create more local jobs. A local organization was formed that helps entrepreneurs grow (business development) while simultaneously opening more doors to the labor market (recruitment). Two years ago, entrepreneur Jenny Lindén took the idea to Helsingborg and started Tillväxt Helsingborg together with Helsingborg Stad. Together, the two operations contribute to 400 new jobs per year (approximately 2500 jobs so far). The growing exclusion in the big cities is one of Sweden's biggest future challenges. The solution is jobs – a thriving business sector is the best integration engine a city/municipality can wish for. Michael Treschow, chairman of Tillväxt Stockholm. Tillväxt Stockholm is a non-profit foundation created by a group of investors working to establish the successful operation and collaboration model throughout the Stockholm area. The chairman of the foundation is Michael Treschow, who has previously been chairman of, among others, Unilever, Ericsson, and Svenskt Näringsliv. Other founders and investors include Aleksander af Jochnick, Jeremias Andersson, Sebastian af Jochnick, Kristoffer Jeansson, Patrik Wahlén, and Kevin Ryan. Several municipalities have shown interest in the growth model. The first out is Botkyrka municipality, where the operation Tillväxt Botkyrka was started in the spring of 2018.
