Founded in 1992 by Arione Diniz in São Luís (MA), Óticas Diniz is now the largest Brazilian optical retail chain with 100% national capital. Since 2019, Ariane Diniz has led the franchisor Diniz Franchising. Present throughout the country with over 1,000 physical stores and an e-commerce presence, it offers a diverse mix of quality optical products and solutions, high technology for prescription and sunglasses lenses, and contact lenses from major brands. An authority in visual health for over 30 years, the chain also provides its customers with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere in its classic and prime concept stores. In addition to the most relevant national and international designer brands on the market, Óticas Diniz has exclusive frame brands such as DII Collection, HIT Eyewear, DNZ, and ONO Brasil, which combine high quality with fashion and style. Since 2016, the network has operated with the Diniz Social responsibility platform, which aims to reduce school dropout rates due to vision problems among children of literacy age living in vulnerable situations. Held annually in October across the entire network, Diniz Social has conducted over 100,000 consultations through partner ophthalmologists and donated more than 35,000 pairs of glasses. It also supports other projects like Teleton, a Brazilian television marathon for the Association of Assistance to Disabled Children (AACD). During the pandemic, it launched a new project, Ponte do Bem, which helped vulnerable populations with food, masks, and hygiene kits. In 2018, it launched Universidade Diniz, a training program for franchised directors with Schools of People, Business, and Operations, offering various e-learning courses and webinars, including staff training for stores. It has issued over 11,000 certificates. A member of the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), in 2023 it received the ABF Franchising Excellence Seal, a mark of quality and standardization.
