The National AI Educators Fellowship (NAiEF)

About The National AI Educators Fellowship (NAiEF)

The National AI Educators Fellowship (NAiEF) is Malaysia’s first classroom implementation and evidence engine for AI-enabled teaching. NAiEF is a tiered fellowship designed to convert technology access into verified instructional impact. We are building a pipeline of AI-capable educators through guided classroom deployment, focusing on our core framework: enhancing Teacher Productivity (TP), boosting Student STEM Readiness (SSR), and ensuring Equitable AI deployment across schools. Structured as a five-tier professional pathway, NAiEF develops educators from AI Associates → Practitioners → Specialists → Leaders → Fellows. This supports their journey from foundational AI use to classroom implementation, school-level enablement, and ultimately, district and national leadership in AI-enabled education. At the heart of NAiEF is a simple principle: No Certification Without Evidence of Classroom Deployment. Whether applied through lesson planning, assessment grading, or dynamic material creation, progression is strictly evidence-gated. After completing the LMS learning modules, educators enter a 3-week Capstone sprint. To earn their certification, teachers must submit tangible, rubric-aligned proof of their AI application with real students. Built in partnership with globally recognized learning ecosystems including Microsoft Learn and Cisco AI Academy, the fellowship aligns its outcomes with internationally recognised frameworks, including UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers, UNESCO AI Competency Framework for Teachers, OECD PISA Global Competence and Future Readiness priorities, and ISTE Standards for Educators.
