TAXOUT is a specialized tax advisory firm based in Cloppenburg, founded by Michael Unnerstall. We focus on two target groups: insurance and financial investment brokers (Sections 34d/34f of the German Trade Regulation Act) – including real estate agents (Section 34c) – and real estate investors. We deliberately leave everything else to others. Why this specialization? Those who broker insurance or financial investments face tax issues that a generalist advisor doesn't know in detail: cancellation reserves, portfolio valuation, commission structures, holding models. Those who hold real estate leave potential returns on the table year after year if depreciation, purchase price allocation, remaining useful life, and legal form don't align with their strategy – with a growing portfolio, this can quickly amount to five figures.
