About Tarion

Tarion is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ontario’s new home buyers and owners through the province’s new home warranty and protection program. Tarion helps consumers protect one of their most significant purchases by guiding them through their rights and responsibilities under the new home warranty, so they can make informed decisions throughout the warranty claim process. Tarion was established by the provincial government in 1976 and operates independently of the home building industry.
