History of the Company The original Tailwind Deli started in 2001 and operated at the Aspen, CO airport. That’s where our tradition of offering high-quality food, beverage and retail began. It was a highly successful operation. In 2004, Tailwind Deli News and Gifts, Inc. opened in Wilmington, NC and began operating the concession at Wilmington International Airport, NC (ILM) in early 2005. Tailwind made substantial investments to create a full-service airport concession, including catering services for private jet flights, conferences and meetings. Since then we’ve grown. We are a national company stretching coast to coast across America. Yet, each location remains unique in it's "sense of place" experience offered by our hospitality. Tailwind Hospitality, Inc. is dedicated to providing delicious food, signature beverages, and interesting gift shop concessions at busy airports. Our mission is to make traveling through the airport more pleasurable by enjoying our concession experience. We offer interesting menus with several local favorite foods and a variety of merchandise in our retail concessions with an emphasis on local souvenirs and area favorite gifts. Local wines and craft brews are popular attractions to our bars. But there's more. Hospitality with a Smile The customer comes first! We spend a lot of time and effort training associates to go beyond standard services to make sure the customer has a pleasant experience.
