About Syndion

Services and support for people with a disability Syndion is there for people – young and old – with a physical and/or intellectual disability. We support them in such a way that they can grow up, learn, live, and work in a way they find pleasant. Based on their wishes and abilities. We feel responsible for the way we do that work. Based on our mission and vision, three core values determine the content of our work: Autonomy. Connecting. Tailored with courage! The foundation for Syndion was laid in 1967 by parents. They started the first residential location in Dordrecht and a day center and children's day center in Gorinchem. Parents still play an important role within Syndion. In 1996, Syndion was officially founded. Our vision Client, relative, and employee form the most important unit for Syndion. The entire organization is aimed at optimally supporting this unit. We are in continuous dialogue within and outside the organization. Together we are moving to continuously improve and develop. Our mission Syndion offers various forms of support to adults and children with a disability, organized on a small scale and in the midst of society. Syndion is a value-driven organization in which the client's capabilities and the connection between client, relatives, and employees are central. Our service area The service area of Syndion includes the Drechtsteden, the Alblasserwaard, the Rivierengebied, and the Land van Heusden en Altena.
