The Syndicat Intercommunal d’énergie et de e-communication de l’Ain (SIEA) brings together all the municipalities of the Ain region. Originally, SIEA organized the public electricity distribution service throughout the departmental territory. Beyond this competence, SIEA is an essential player in other areas, such as public lighting, the geographic information system, energy transition, gas, and electronic communication. This last competence, in the industrialization phase, aims to allow all residents of Ain to benefit from a high-performance digital infrastructure: the public fiber optic network of the municipalities of Ain, Li@in. As a committed player in energy transition, SIEA also invests in the field of Energy Demand Management, the development of renewable energies, and energy procurement. In service to the municipalities, SIEA’s action translates into technical advice, financial participation, and the implementation of infrastructure related to its competencies. As a major player in territorial development, SIEA adapts, evolves, and innovates, offering increasingly efficient services and responses tailored to the needs of its members.
