About Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency

The Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency, formerly known as the Conscription and Assessment Agency, is an expert authority within the total defence area, subordinate to the Ministry of Defence. The agency's main tasks are to muster and register conscripts for basic training with conscription, as well as to staff the war organization. It also conducts investigations, assessments, and selections for professions and training requiring special suitability for other authorities. Christina Malm is the Director-General, and the agency's approximately 350 employees are located in four places: in Karlstad, where the agency has its headquarters, and at the assessment offices in Malmö, Stockholm, and Gothenburg.
