The history of Supermercado Violeta began to be built in 1958, when the Violeta name first appeared through Café Violeta, where José Pontes, still a boy, helped his father with daily tasks and at the same time incorporated the essence of the business that years later would become Restaurante e Pizzaria Violeta, which continues to operate to this day. In 1996, the time came to expand the Violeta story even further, and the first Supermercado Violeta store was opened in the Butantã neighborhood, which began a Store Network that completes 27 years of existence in 2023. The company is expanding and today we have 10 stores spread across São Paulo, with about 2,000 employees who serve more than 20,000 customers per day. Our goal is to be your best neighbor, every day, and for this, we count as our main pillar the care for our people, as part of the “Jeito Violeta de Ser” (Violeta Way of Being), which integrates with our values, reflecting in the care for our customers!
