A long history lies behind Sun Salat. It all started in Copenhagen, more precisely Amager – a small space with two employees. With a focus on well-prepared salads, mainly from the Mediterranean. Production was later moved to Sweden, but with deep roots in Denmark – the strong passion and love for well-prepared salads grew alongside a demand for specialties from around the world. Now, 14 years later, Sun Salat is nationwide, preparing over 12 million salads a year for retail stores throughout Denmark. Sun Salat has a very special assortment for the discerning consumer. We have taken extra care to select fresh, good ingredients to develop salads that fit into your world. Salads from Sun Salat are the real deal, created with hands, heart, and respect for the time it takes to do things properly. Sun Salat emphasizes both sustainability and responsibility – all our ingredients are utilized optimally with consideration for the environment. To protect the environment, we use composting machines for all our food waste, which is converted into fertilizer and then spread on the fields by local farmers.
