Summer Consultants, Inc. is a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) engineering, commissioning, and architecture design and consulting firm. We are a small business specializing in the repair, renovation and rehabilitation of federal, institutional, higher education, and historic facilities. We are the prime consultant on nearly 80% of our projects, and we are experienced with leading multi-discipline A/E teams. Every project requires a tailored solution. Our engineers and architects design “on-site, in the field,” developing creative options to meet project challenges and needs. We design with long-term sustainability in mind, focusing not only on high efficiency, but also system maintainability. Our experience includes repairs, renovations and additions, new construction, historic preservation, sustainable design including LEED Gold and Silver buildings, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and project management. Whether we are working in older utility tunnels and mechanical rooms, updating historic facilities, reconfiguring an office space, or designing new systems – we tackle projects that other firms struggle with.
