About Stichting Montessorischolen Monton

Our beautiful educational organization consists of 12 Montessori primary schools between The Hague and Rhenen. Together, we provide education for a growing number of approximately 2300 students. In our Montessori education, children can develop into who they are, into young people who optimistically build a new world. For this, they develop the basic skills we need, they grow up as responsible and active world citizens with an attitude to care for the earth and each other, and in which they develop their will and discover their passions and calling. Annually, nearly 1700 students attend a Monton school and over 160 teachers work for the foundation. Monton schools, although located somewhat far apart, are united by working from the Montessori philosophy. Through cooperation, professional exchange, and a shared mission and vision, the schools strengthen each other in educating children. Montessori education is education for the 21st century. The schools operate according to the principles of the Dutch Montessori Association and meet the standards of the inspectorate. Monton schools work result-oriented on knowledge and skills, but also pay attention to the social, moral, and personal development of the child. Children who follow Montessori education develop into strong personalities who learn to deal with the complexity of contemporary society. The Monton administrative office is located on the upper floor of Montessori Kindecentrum LEF.
