About Stichting De Tussenvoorziening

Stichting De Tussenvoorziening offers various forms of shelter and guidance for people in vulnerable situations. We primarily serve people in Utrecht and its surroundings who are homeless or marginally housed. This mainly concerns people dealing with complex and multiple problems, including psychiatric issues, addiction, intellectual disabilities, debt, and/or social exclusion. The guidance is tailored to the client's needs and focuses on improving their living situation and preventing relapse. Our goal is for people to be able to participate fully and as independently as possible in society. Our core activities are: shelter, housing, and financial guidance. In addition, we carry out activities related to meal provision, poverty reduction, social activation, and day shelter. In 2014, we sheltered 770 unique clients in the night shelter, 200 clients in crisis shelter, and 760 adults in some form of supported housing. Additionally, approximately 1200 clients received financial guidance and/or debt counseling. Around 300 paid employees and 500 volunteers work at De Tussenvoorziening.
