Stadt Aalen

About Stadt Aalen

The city of Aalen, a large district town with around 70,000 inhabitants, is located in a scenically attractive area at the foot of the Swabian Jura, nestled in beautiful natural and recreational spaces. With around 1,300 employees, we are one of the largest employers in the region. As a dynamic economic location with excellent infrastructure, a convenient transport connection, and a university with approx. 6,000 students, Aalen particularly stands for a lively coexistence of young and old, for education, culture, history, and sport. The UNESCO World Heritage site Limes with its thermal baths and museum of the same name, as well as the vibrant old town, attract many visitors from near and far.
