Sporveien is Norway's largest provider of public transport measured by the number of journeys. In the subsidiaries Sporveien Trikken, Sporveien T-banen and Unibuss, 155 million individual journeys were made in 2020. The group has approximately 3730 employees and a turnover of NOK 4.7 billion. Sporveien owns, develops and manages the infrastructure related to the metro and tram - i.e. tracks, stations, tunnels, depots, buildings and signal systems. The group also has overall responsibility for the operation of public transport, including maintenance and upgrades of carriages, tracks and other infrastructure. Sporveien also owns the subsidiaries Sporveien Vognmateriell, Bussanlegg and Sporveien Media. Sporveien is 100 percent owned by the municipality of Oslo. Sporveien shall actively contribute to ensuring that Oslo has a future-oriented, safe and environmentally friendly public transport service that meets the mobility needs of its residents. We shall contribute to managing the resources in the public transport system so that society gets the most public transport for its money. The head office is located in Tøyen in Oslo.
