About SozDia The SozDia Foundation Berlin is committed with its around 600 employees in over 50 institutions in the fields of child, youth, and family work, education and community work, homeless aid and socio-psychiatric assistance, inclusion businesses, and in various sustainable projects. SozDia was founded in 1990 by Michael Heinisch-Kirch and pursues the vision that every person can live in the center of society. New institutions arise from local needs, for which SozDia finds a solution and takes action together with those affected. SozDia stands for an open, approachable, and mindful attitude. In order to overcome boundaries and promote social cohesion, it takes a political stance and shows active civil society engagement. Working at SozDia means being part of a large, supportive team. We stand up for the values of diversity, democracy, and sustainability and live these values within many projects and actions. For example, we place great importance on sustainable mobility. Our gasoline-free vehicle fleet consists of e-cars and natural gas cars, cargo bikes, and company bicycles. Last year, the "Team SozDia" reached 33rd place among 858 Berlin teams in Stadtradeln with 14,000 kilometers. We treat each other as equals, maintain respectful interaction, and foster a positive error culture. And we continuously learn with and from each other, supported by our internal training institute VORSTIEG. "Ansichtssache" is our in-house magazine, which reports on current topics such as diversity, educational justice, and inclusion. Numerous festivals and events, such as the large neighborhood festival Viva Victoria, complement our public engagement. Our guiding principle: "As SozDia, we shape life and society together. We see ourselves as an organization in which everyone has a role and a mission. Our common endeavor is to enable a society in which every person has a place at its center. We treat each other as equals, and constantly work and learn with and from each other. To this end, we are in regular communication, inform each other, and thus create transparency for what is happening in the organization."
