Soori Penang

About Soori Penang

Soori Penang is a luxury all-suite hotel located within a cluster of 15 restored shophouses in Georgetown, Penang, designed by renowned architect Soo K. Chan. Situated next to the iconic Khoo Kongsi clanhouse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the hotel blends modern luxury with Penang’s rich heritage, inspired by Chan’s childhood memories of living in a similar shophouse. Each suite spans the full length of a shophouse and features bespoke finishes, setting a new benchmark for luxury in the city. This project is a personal endeavour for Chan, aiming to spark renewed global interest in Penang’s cultural and historical treasures. A sister property to the award-winning Soori Bali, Soori Penang upholds the same commitment to design excellence, cultural sensitivity, and ultra-luxury hospitality. We are a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
