SOCIOS is one of Spain’s longest established independent investment banking firms. The Firm was founded in 1991 by a small group of senior executives with wide ranging corporate finance experience with the objective of creating an independent source of Corporate Finance advice in Spain, serving the middle and upper middle market segments. During its 33 years history, a number of other senior executives have joined at Partner level from leading international investment banking groups and Big Four audit firms taking the current number of partners to 7. Today, SOCIOS comprises more than 20 professionals based in Madrid and is a member of Oaklins, a global team of 850+ financial advisory professionals in 45 countries providing M&A, growth equity, ECM, debt advisory and corporate finance services to support entrepreneurs, corporates and investors in reaching their goals. Specialisation SOCIOS focuses on three principal categories of corporate finance advice: Advice in relation to corporate transactions: Acquisitions, disposals, mergers, search mandates, MBO’s, MBIs, Public Offers (including «take privates»), fairness opinions, etcetera. Advice in relation to financing transactions: Raising start up and development capital (private equity and private placements), IPO advice, raising debt and mezzanine finance, balance sheet restructurings, etc. Financial and strategic advice: Advising clients on value creation and maximisation, feasibility studies, advice on joint venture and strategic alliances, etc.
