Sobida’s 10-hectare plant in Quezon City is the biggest in the industry, housing a complete production line that is organized to bring out the best quality remanufactured trucks. The Sobida plant is the best-practice model used by the Department of Trade and Industry when they issued Department Administrative Order #8, series of 2003, entitled Guidelines for the Mandatory Accreditation of Rebuilding Centers. (Sobida Accreditation No. DTI-BIS-DAO-2007-0001) Sobida remanufactured commercial vehicles comply with: Philippine National Standard’s left hand drive repositioning requirements (PNS 1259:1995) Replacement of steering linkage parts with solid and LHD-oriented knuckle arm and draglink for safety and compliance to manufacturer’s specified correct turning angle. Fuel and other fluid tubes and pipes are compliant to safety standards NO-CUT-AND-WELD! Clean Air Act of 1999 (Republic Act 8749) Computerized calibration of the fuel injection pump, as well as the remanufacturing of engine, resulting to fuel efficiency and the elimination of smoke emission, making the trucks environmentally-friendly. The vehicle is restored to the manufacturer’s original design capacity and efficiency, thus making it perform like new. Sobida’s TESDA – certified mechanics see to it that every truck that leaves the facility is of the highest quality workmanship possible. Fuel injection pumps undergo computerized calibration to restore its original fuel efficiency specification and to comply with the manufacturer’s required setting.
