About SMO Breda e.o.

SMO Breda e.o. is a combination of various activity locations and residential facilities in Breda, Baarle-Nassau, and Bavel, among others. Our clients are homeless and/or have no fixed abode and often have long-term or acute problems. The capabilities and strengths of citizens with a support need are our starting point. Citizens are given the opportunity to work on their own health, and from the first meeting, taking personal responsibility and control is encouraged. They are given the space to discover their own strengths and what they need to work towards the fullest possible participation in society. We work with clients in a group-oriented process. Support ranges from 4 to 20 hours per week. Central to care and support are three goals: - Sustainable housing: our goal is for clients to have stable housing. - A supportive social network: our goal is for clients to have at least two contacts who make a positive contribution to their recovery. We do not mean caregivers by this. - Meaningful daytime activities: our goal is for clients to participate in work-related, educational, or recreational activities, working towards personal goals. Within SMO Breda, there are professionally skilled and committed professionals. Additionally, various volunteers support the client's recovery process. We also work with the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Reporting Code. We do everything we can to offer clients a pleasant and safe environment. We regularly see the lack of meaningful daytime activities as a cause of personal problems. Through activities focused on development and self-fulfillment, the client will (re)discover their strengths. We call the unique combination of three types of activities: work, education, and leisure 'I want to participate'.
