SIVA - Sociedade de Importação de Veículos Automóveis, SA - is currently part of Porsche Holding Salzburg (PHS), Europe's largest Automotive Distributor. In Portugal, it imports and distributes the Volkswagen Group brands: Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, as well as Bentley and Lamborghini. SIVA was established in August 1987. In its first full year of operation, which coincided with the liberalization of vehicle imports from the EU, SIVA sold over 16,000 vehicles. Since then, it has sold nearly 900,000 new cars in the Portuguese market. To the areas of Vehicle, Parts, and Accessories Import and Distribution, a global and complete offering of automotive-related services has been added, a strategy that has allowed it to successfully respond to the growing demands, sophistication, and loyalty of customers, reinforcing the partnership with the Volkswagen Group and Dealer Networks. In October 2019, SIVA became part of PHS, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, which operates in 29 countries in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, sold nearly 750,000 new cars in 2018, and has 30,900 employees.
