Sicoob Divicred

About Sicoob Divicred

Sicoob Divicred is a cooperative founded on May 8, 1997. Its origin dates back to the need to develop the garment sector of Divinópolis-MG, which was going through great difficulties in the 1990s. In this context, a group of 20 entrepreneurs came together and began the great dream of creating and fostering the Divicred cooperative. Our history was also marked by great initial challenges, as the investment was still low and our staff consisted of only 8 employees, which soon reduced to 6 for fear of not being able to meet payroll. However, the strength and persistence in making it work were paramount for the challenges to be overcome quickly. Sicoob Divicred began to develop and its exponential growth began to attract even more credibility to our cooperative. The spaces then occupied became small and it was urgent to expand Sicoob Divicred to other places. Our expansion process was marked by the opening of spaces in Belo Horizonte, making it the first cooperative from the interior of Minas Gerais to have a service point in the capital of Minas Gerais. And it doesn't stop there... Recently, Sicoob Divicred expanded its spaces outside the state of Minas Gerais, opening several facilities in São Paulo. Today, Sicoob Divicred has 32 facilities distributed in several municipalities in the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo. Our success is the result of a long history of persistence, unity, and cooperation. After all, in cooperativism, the associates are the owners of the business and the profits are distributed annually. Our history continues to be built every day. We know the importance of rescuing and valuing our past, just as we understand that talking about our history is also projecting the future and seeking to achieve it, always in line with cooperativist principles.
