Adamor Pires and Maria do Amparo Pires, Portuguese immigrants, landed in Manaus with a suitcase full of dreams and determination. They built a loving home for their 10 children, all born under the Amazon sun. Adalberto took his first steps in the world of work at 14, selling shoes with a smile and hope. He became a manager at 20 and purchasing supervisor at 28 at the prestigious Disco de Ouro store. José Maria, from an early age, showed a tireless work ethic. He started as an office boy at 13, but his dedication and passion quickly propelled him to a sales position at Casa das Sandálias at 15. After years of hard work, Adalberto and José Maria decided to dream even bigger. With courage and conviction, at 35 and 28 years old respectively, they invested all their savings in realizing a larger dream: opening their own shoe store. On June 9, 1988, Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, pulsing with life and dreams, witnessed the birth of more than a store – it was the rebirth of hopes, the realization of years of work, and the celebration of the beginning of their dreams.
