About Sesi Goiás

A pioneer during the movements focused on the development of the incipient industrialization process, Sesi (Serviço Social da Indústria) took its first steps in Goiânia in the early 1950s, alongside Senai in Anápolis, and the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (Fieg), which were established slightly earlier. Education for the home, medical and dental care, recreation, and sports constituted the initial actions, which are the pillars of the wide range of services now offered to workers, their dependents, and the community, aimed at promoting socioeconomic development. As an institution of the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (Fieg) System, Sesi has consolidated itself as a brand of social responsibility by promoting education, health and safety at work, leisure, and citizenship in an integrated manner, with quality recognized by the community. Present with activity centers and a holiday resort in Goiânia, Anápolis, Aruanã, Aparecida de Goiânia, Catalão, Itumbiara, and Rio Verde (service hub at Escola Senai Fernando Bezerra), the institution expands its services through mobile units for leisure, culture, dentistry, health, and safety at work, temporarily installed in industries, associations, schools, and public spaces. The most recent initiative is Cozinha Brasil, a traveling unit through which Sesi provides food education to the most needy segments of the population. Faithful to its institutional mission, Sesi has agile and dynamic operations throughout the State, focusing on improving the quality of life of workers and strengthening industry. Sesi is certified by ISO 9001:2000.
