What is a Credit Union? To put it simply, credit unions are alternatives to banks. Alternative being the key word, and we're pretty confident it's a better alternative! You can also apply for a car loan, mortgage, home equity loan, or a line of credit to name a few. So, what makes a credit union different from a bank? Credit unions are founded on the principle of people helping people. We are a not-for-profit organization that is committed to helping each of our members become financially responsible consumers.
