About SATC - Associação Beneficente da Indústria Carbonífera de Santa Catarina

The Associação Beneficente da Indústria Carbonífera de Santa Catarina (SATC) was founded on May 2, 1959, on the initiative of the Mineral Coal Extraction Industry of the Santa Catarina Coal Region. Located in Criciúma, Santa Catarina, it occupies a total area of 550,000 m², with 28,000 m² of built area. Mining companies invest 1% of their revenue in SATC. - Satc Educational Technical School (Edutec): responsible for basic education, from elementary to high school; and professional technical education at the intermediate and post-technical level, which trains technicians for various economic areas of the region; - SATC College: offering higher education courses in the technological field; - Business Training and Community Assistance Center: responsible for organizing specific professional training courses, such as mechanics, electro-electronics, IT, and human relations. - Business Services Center: provides support services to companies in the areas of calibration, water analysis, effluents, and coal. - SATC Center for the Environment: exists to serve the fields of education, service provision, and consulting for environmental preservation actions. Currently, SATC has over five thousand students enrolled in elementary, high school, vocational, and higher education.
