About SAFU

The Central Finance and Contracting Agency (SAFU) acts as Intermediate Body Level 2 (PT2) in the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Cohesion” (OPKK) for the 2014-2020 financial perspective. SAFU is responsible for verifying the fulfillment of contractual obligations and controlling the eligibility of expenditures within nine priority axes and investment priorities: Priority Axis 1. Strengthening the economy through research and innovation Priority Axis 2. Use of information and communication technologies Priority Axis 3. Business competitiveness Priority Axis 4. Promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy sources Priority Axis 6. Environmental protection and resource sustainability Priority Axis 7. Connectivity and mobility Priority Axis 8. Social inclusion and health Priority Axis 9. Education, skills and lifelong learning Priority Axis 10. Technical assistance The total allocation for OPKK is over 51 billion kuna, with an allocation of over 26 billion kuna in the priority axes where SAFU is PT2. ABOUT CFCA The Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA), established in 2007, is one of the bodies within the management system of the European Union funded programmes and projects in the Republic of Croatia. Within the ESI funds implementation system, in the Financial Perspective 2014 – 2020, the CFCA acts as one of the intermediate bodies in the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Cohesion” (OPCC).
