Saarstahl Rail is a subsidiary of Saarstahl Company - SHS Group - Stahl Holding Saar. The Hayange site was inaugurated in 1892. Originally owned by the de Wendel family, the Hayange factory in Lorraine was initially intended for the production of rails. It became part of the Corus group in 1999, then Tata Steel France Rail in 2010, British Steel France Rail in 2016, Liberty Rail Hayange in 2020, and finally Saarstahl Rail in 2021. Thanks to the expertise of the men and women at the Hayange rail rolling mill and significant investments - over €50 million in the last ten years - 300,000 tons of rails can be delivered annually to five continents. How can we not mention our pride in being the supplier of rails for the European Eastern High-Speed Line.
