About S&G Automobil AG

For over 123 years, we have believed in the future of the automobile – no car dealership worldwide has been committed to the Mercedes-Benz star longer than S&G. This is both an honor and a commitment for us. S&G was founded in 1898 when Ernst Schoemperlen established the Automobil-Centrale in Karlsruhe. In 1905, the company founder met his future partner Walter Gast while fixing a breakdown. With him as a partner, the company was renamed Schoemperlen und Gast in 1910. In 1998, on its 100th anniversary, it was transformed into S&G Automobil AG. In 1990, the subsidiary S&G Automobilgesellschaft mbH Halle/Merseburg was founded, which is today the largest Mercedes-Benz dealer in Saxony-Anhalt. Around 1,400 employees, including nearly 300 trainees, ensure at 11 locations in Baden-Württemberg and 7 locations in Saxony-Anhalt that we keep our promise every day: "You drive well with S&G".
