Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG

About Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG

As one of the most important salt suppliers in Europe with locations in Heilbronn, Bad Friedrichshall, Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden, we extract, produce and process salt for our domestic and international customers in industry, public institutions, trade and commerce. The Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG markets the entire salt product range. In addition to the well-known Bad Reichenhaller products, it offers all grain sizes, qualities and additives. The Reederei Schwaben GmbH group, with its diverse water and land-based transport and logistics capacities, also belongs to the group, as does UEV Umwelt, Entsorgung und Verwertung GmbH, which markets the underground cavities. Furthermore, with our two visitor mines in Bad Friedrichshall and Berchtesgaden, as well as the Old Saltworks Bad Reichenhall, we are active in tourism. Our operations therefore extend over many areas – from underground salt extraction, through the further processing and refinement of our products, to marketing, sales and shipping.
