SÜC Coburg GmbH

About SÜC Coburg GmbH

FULL OF ENERGY. FOR COBURG. The SÜC (Städtische Werke Überlandwerke Coburg GmbH) stands for the provision of essential services in Coburg and the surrounding area, primarily supplying approximately 60,000 households with electricity, gas, water, and district heating. In addition, we operate the Coburg city bus service and the attractive Aquaria indoor/outdoor pool. We also offer our customers numerous other (energy) services and have a strong partner on the disposal side with the Coburg Waste and Construction Company CEB. As an energy provider, sustainability and climate protection are particularly important to us. We rely on our own renewable energy generation from hydropower and operate 3 of our own hydroelectric power plants on the Upper Main. We have also installed several photovoltaic systems that produce climate-friendly electricity for us. With district heating, a climate-neutral heating option is also in our repertoire, and the network in downtown Coburg is constantly growing. As a network operator, electromobility is a natural fit for us, and a large part of our own fleet already runs on electricity. We are also expanding the charging infrastructure in our service area and have opened one of the most modern electric charging stations in Upper Franconia. Our drinking water is sourced from deep wells in Froschgrund and near Mönchröden, offering Coburg residents and several surrounding municipalities the best drinking water quality with short transport routes. We look forward to your visit to our administrative building at Bamberger Straße 2-6 in Coburg or our InfoCenter at Theaterplatz in Coburg. Please visit our homepage https://www.suec.de/.
