23 years ago, in 1995, dr. Bahtiar Husain started a general practitioner practice in the Sukapura area, North Jakarta. Driven by a desire to fulfill the local residents' healthcare needs, dr. Bahtiar Husain invited his colleagues to establish a joint doctor's practice. On April 7, 1998, Klinik Firdaus was founded, with a commitment to 24-hour service. As it developed, the majority of patients served by Klinik FIRDAUS suffered from lung diseases. Due to the lack of pulmonary healthcare facilities in the clinic's vicinity, dr. Bahtiar Husain pursued further education in pulmonology at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. After completing his specialization in pulmonology, in 2004, dr. Bahtiar Husain and his colleagues agreed to transform Klinik FIRDAUS into a "Group Specialist Practice." The pulmonary services offered became a flagship and the only service of its kind in the North Jakarta region. Based on the commitment "Professionalism with a spirit of service" and the enthusiasm to support the government's "Indonesia Sehat" (Healthy Indonesia) program, the "launch" of FIRDAUS Lung Hospital was finally held on May 28, 2011. In 2016, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office upgraded its status to a General Hospital, followed by the classification of the hospital as "Type C." The consistency of RSU Firdaus's service quality was further recognized by the Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS) after it was assessed to meet accreditation standards, according to certificate number: KARS-SERT/395/V/2017, dated May 4, 2017.
