The oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, Royal Enfield has been creating motorcycles since 1901. British in origin, the factory was established in Madras in 1955, a support point from which Royal Enfield has led the growth of India's mid-size two-wheeler segment. Royal Enfield has engaging, uncomplicated, accessible, and fun motorcycles. Each unit is a vehicle for exploration and self-expression, this is the approach the brand conceptualizes as Pure Motorcycling. The Royal Enfield model line for the Brazilian market includes the Meteor 350 cruiser, the Twins, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, the Himalayan adventure bike, the iconic Classic 350, the versatile Scram 411, the super urban Hunter 350, and the best-selling Super Meteor 650. A division of Eicher Motors Limited, Royal Enfield operates through 2,100 dealerships in all major cities and towns in India, as well as around 850 others in over 60 countries worldwide. The company also has two technical centers, among the best in the world, including in Bruntingthorpe, UK, and in Chennai, India. The brand's two state-of-the-art production plants are located in Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal, near Chennai. In 2020, it opened its first assembly unit outside India, in Argentina, and subsequently Colombia received its plant. In Brazil, the CKD was inaugurated in December 2022. With a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 37% over the last 5 years and international market sales increasing by 108% in 2021-22, Royal Enfield is a leader in the global mid-size motorcycle market.
