Royal Avebe

About Royal Avebe

We get more out of the potato. The potato is our raw material. It seems like such an everyday crop, but it is a special gift from nature. Royal Avebe is a cooperative of starch potato growers. Traditionally, we focused on extracting starch from the potato. But through the development of innovative techniques, we now also extract proteins from the potato, intended for the food industry. And we are not stopping there. The potato is a source of possibilities for us, with even more ingredients that can be valorized. In short, we get out what's in it! Every day, more than 1300 Avebe employees work on utilizing all the possibilities the potato offers to make life more pleasant, healthier, and easier. For our customers, our members, and for society as a whole. In addition, our breeding company Averis Seeds B.V. works on the natural breeding and development of potato varieties. Varieties with characteristics that align with our innovative ambitions. That is how we work towards an increasingly sustainable business and achieve a solid return for our members. Our customers manufacture the most diverse products in the food industry. But also in industrial applications and high-quality animal feed. They choose our ingredients because they have added value: they simplify the production process, improve the taste of the product, or, for example, make it last longer. Optimal return For the next hundred years, we will continue what we are doing now: uncovering the secrets of the potato and valorizing them. We want to achieve a good return not only for our growers today, but also tomorrow and in the distant future. We seek harmony between profit, the environment, and people: our growers, employees, and customers. That is what we want to excel in. Royal Avebe is a trade name of Coöperatie Koninklijke Avebe U.A, legally established in Veendam.
