Riksteatern

About Riksteatern

Riksteatern is Sweden's national stage for touring theater. We were founded in 1933 so that the entire country, not just the big cities, would have access to high-quality performing arts. We offer theater, dance, music, and circus that set thoughts and feelings in motion – for everyone, everywhere. With approximately 1 million visitors each year, nearly 40,000 members, over 200 local and regional Riksteatern associations, and 50 affiliated organizations, Riksteatern is a living popular movement and Sweden's largest producing touring theater. We are the stage for all of Sweden.
