Finansbank A.Ş. was established on October 26, 1987, by a group of 100 partners led by businessman Hüsnü Özyeğin, in accordance with the Banking Law and the Turkish Commercial Code. QNB Finansbank, which quickly grew to become one of the top 5 largest private banks in the sector, was acquired by National Bank of Greece (NBG), Greece's largest bank, in 2006. This merger combined NBG's leading position in Southeastern Europe with the bank's high growth potential in Turkey. Finansbank, which has rapidly grown in retail banking since 2006, has become a pioneer in the sector with its investments and solutions in credit cards, digitalization, and technology. In October 2012, Finansbank founded Enpara.com, Turkey's first branchless digital bank, offering all its services exclusively through digital channels, opening a new era in the sector in Turkey. In June 2016, QNB Finansbank was acquired by Qatar National Bank S.A.Q (QNB Group), the largest bank in Qatar and a leading financial institution in the Middle East and Africa region, becoming part of an international structure. Thus, the bank's new name became QNB Finansbank as of October 2016. In line with QNB Group's vision of becoming a global brand, its name was updated to QNB Türkiye as of October 2024. QNB Türkiye has a dynamic and innovative structure that carries its corporate culture into the future.
