qards GmbH is an association of the companies Bayern Card-Services and PLUSCARD, which merged in October 2024. Our core business revolves around card processing – all services related to the payment processing of credit and debit cards. The name qards combines our basic product "Cards" with the values of quality and services, which make the difference for us. With around 30 years of experience, we combine technical excellence with personal service. At qards, we develop future-proof card-based payment solutions and offer our financial institutions and their cardholders high-quality processing and serviceleistungen. With 348 supported institutions, qards is one of the largest processing companies in Germany. qards, headquartered in Saarbrücken with locations in Homburg/Saar and Munich, offers services related to Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards with its over 760 employees. Shareholders of qards GmbH include Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) with 26.086 percent and Bayern Card-Services Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG with 25.982 percent, a holding company of the Bavarian savings banks. Furthermore, S-Payment GmbH, belonging to the DSV Group, holds 12.031 percent, Sparkassenförderungsgesellschaft Saar mbH holds 9.029 percent, and the Sparkassen- und Giroverband Schleswig-Holstein, the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenverband, and the Förderungsgesellschaft des Sparkassenverbandes Niedersachsen mbH each hold 8.957 percent.
