PureTek believes in the power of pharmacology, pure and simple. The company, founded in 1991 by CEO Barry Pressman, manufactures a variety of bulk and private label pharmaceutical, nutritional, and personal care products for retail chains and branded drug companies throughout the US. PureTek's nutritional and pharmaceutical products are offered through its Breath Relief, D-Care, PharmaPure, and Pharmaflex brands. Its personal care items are supplied through the Dermectin and Body Essence lines. PureTek has the ability to produce pharmaceutical and nutritional delivery systems encompassing tablets, capsules and liquids, as well as large-batch capacity for personal care liquids, lotions, creams, and oils. The company is housed in two facilities in Southern California where it manufactures, packages, and prepares its products for distribution. Of its product lines, its D-Care line of products features a range of treatments for diabetic patients including specially formulated cough and cold syrups, skin care products made specifically for dryness and cracking, and a spectrum of therapeutic aids for circulation and muscle problems. The PharmaPure segment peddles a plethora (more than 60 different formulations) of vitamins, minerals, and herbs for all sorts of maladies and for general health improvement that include anti-aging, joint health, and men and women's health. PureTek's Pharmaflex line is composed of joint support nutritional supplements, while Breath Relief is an internal breath freshener. Dermectin and Body Essence sell boutique lotions, body washes, and body butters. Along with retail stores nationwide, PureTek's products are sold online through its various websites. Before launching PureTek, Pressman, a registered pharmacist, owned the Bi-Rite chain of drugstores. He also co-founded Pharmavite, which sells the Nature Made brand of nutritional supplements.
