Pure Essence International started operations in 1995. Since then, the company has been producing soap noodles from different oil blends, as well as quality bath soaps. As part of the expansion effort, the company set up a new production line to produce Coco Methyl Ester (CME or BioDiesel). Additional products from CME are: Soap Noodles, Methyl Ester Sulfonates, Amides and Betaines. On the other hand, Margarrett Enterprises, Inc. traces its origin from the humble beginnings and life of the owner who worked and traded copra in Quezon Province. Eventually he was able to establish his own oil milling company and in 1970, his company became the fourth largest exporter of coconut oil in Manila. Initially, MEI engaged in the development of soaps, detergent bars and all-purpose powders. Because of the high-quality and affordability of the products, MEI ventured in manufacturing of laundry products and liquid detergents both for local and multi-national corporations.
