PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery was established in 2009 in Muara Angke, North Jakarta. With the experience of the company's founder at that time, Mr. Hongpeng pioneered business opportunities in Muara Angke with only a facility at the new auction site no. 6. In the early period of its establishment, PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery was only engaged in the export of fresh fish packed in styrofoam boxes. These products were then exported via air cargo to neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. Before being established under the name PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery, we had been operating at Muara Angke Port under the branch company status of CV Sanjaya Fishery (Bangka) in 2005. Along with business development, a few years later the company's business lines began to be expanded to frozen seafood products, or better known as ship-frozen products. Ship-frozen product lines require a freezing warehouse for storing raw materials and finished goods. To meet these needs, a cold storage room was built for storing frozen fish obtained from local fishermen. The development of the fishery business in Muara Angke began to provide benefits not only for the company as a trading company, but also for fishermen. Fishermen no longer fear that their catch will not be absorbed. To date, the company has collaborated with fishermen who routinely sell their catch to the company. Fishermen's welfare has also increased. The latest condition of PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery as of the end of 2014, has obtained facilities in the form of 4 plots of land in Muara Angke (three of which are allocated for cold storage rooms). In addition to being marketed locally, PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery's fishery products are also marketed for export. The main export destination country is China. This is in line with statistical data published by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, where China ranked first in 2012 with the purchase of fish from Indonesia amounting to 295,486 tons (source: official KKP website; http://www.kkp.go.id/). China indeed pays considerable attention to our maritime products, and PT Sanjaya Internasional Fishery realizes that China is a very potential market for marketing our maritime products.
