PT Nojorono Tobacco International is one of the pioneering kretek cigarette companies in Indonesia, initiated by Mr. Tjoa Kang Hay who appointed his two sons-in-law, Mr. Ko Djee Siong and Mr. Tan Djing Thay. Along with the advancement of the business, the company was then established on October 14, 1932, and is headquartered in Kudus, Central Java. Currently, Nojorono Kudus holds the fifth position in the largest cigarette industry category in Indonesia. PT Nojorono Tobacco International is known as the owner of the Minak Djinggo trademark, which was launched in 1932. Minak Djinggo is a pioneer in Hand-Rolled Kretek Cigarette (SKT) innovation. Minak Djinggo has survived in the SKT industry to this day, well-known among farmers and fishermen. The company's next breakthrough was the launch of Clas Mild, a Low Tar Low Nicotine (LTLN) product in 2003. Within two and a half years, Clas Mild established itself as a low-tar and low-nicotine kretek filter product (Low Tar Low Nicotine – LTLN) favored by consumers, successfully becoming the best kretek filter product in Indonesia.
