Founded in Surabaya in 1991 under the name UD. Anugerah Jaya as a response to consumers needing food colorings and other food additives. Along with its development, in 2006 UD. Anugerah Jaya changed its name and company structure to PT. Karya Anugerah Jaya, which has now become one of the competitive food colorings and food additives in Indonesia. Carrying the trademarks R&W, ALCO, and HANWE, which are registered with the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM RI) and have obtained certification from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).
