PT AJ Central Asia Raya (CAR Life Insurance) was founded on April 30, 1975, based on the Deed of Notary Ridwan Suselo no. 357, with a capital of Rp 500 million and legalized by the Decree of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia No.Y.A.5/450/6 dated December 9, 1975. CAR first obtained a business license based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No.KEP.492/DJM/III-5/11/1975 dated November 15, 1975. After several extensions of the business license, the Company permanently and indefinitely obtained an insurance business license from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Number: KEP-013/KM.13/1987, dated December 18, 1987. The Company has a Sharia Business Unit based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia number KEP-070/KM.10/2007 dated April 5, 2007. The Company is also the founder of the Central Asia Raya Financial Institution Pension Fund (DPLK CAR) based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia number KEP-183/KM.17/1995, dated July 4, 1995. Since its establishment, the Founders, all Shareholders, Board of Commissioners, and Directors have been committed to making the Company one of the leading life insurance companies in Indonesia and providing high service. CAR has achieved many advances and accomplishments. These advances and achievements can be measured, then presented in the form of graphs and reported in CAR's financial statements. In 2021, the company had assets of more than Rp 10.22 trillion, with a risk-based capital (RBC) of more than 120%. The Company is the only life insurance company and the first to achieve a Platinum Award for the 'very good' rating for 10 (ten) consecutive years from InfoBank magazine. In 2015, it received 16 Unit Link Awards for 2015 performance; 11 Unit Link Awards for 2016 performance; 22 Unit Link Awards for 2017 performance; 17 Unit Link Awards for 2018 performance; and 25 Unit Link Awards for 2019 performance. In addition, Investor magazine awarded 9 Unit Link Awards for 2017 performance; 12 Unit Link Awards for 2018 performance; 11 Unit Link Awards for 2019 performance; 17 Unit Link Awards for 2020 performance, as well as 19 Unit Link Awards for 2021 performance, and 8 Unit Link Awards from Media Asuransi for 2021 performance.
