Provident Pénzügyi Zrt. is a key player in the personal loan market, offering short-term, small-amount loans via bank transfer. With this service, loan applications and contracts are made at the customer's home, where a company representative delivers the loan amount in cash and also visits customers personally for weekly repayments. The Home Service Package also includes individual accident insurance. Provident Financial was founded in the United Kingdom in 1880. The company began its international expansion in 1997. In 2007, the international subsidiaries separated from their parent company, and the international division continued its operations as International Personal Finance, listed on the London Stock Exchange. International Personal Finance currently serves over 2 million customers in 8 countries (besides Hungary, in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Mexico, Lithuania, and Bulgaria). In Hungary, Provident Pénzügyi Rt. was established in May 2001. As a result of successful growth, the company now serves its customers throughout the country with nearly 4000 employees and 22 credit points.
