Within the Ministry of Justice, the Judicial Protection of Youth (PJJ) supports and protects minors who are subject to a court decision, when they are in danger or when they have committed an offense. Its role: to protect, educate, guarantee the social, school, and professional integration of minors facing the justice system, and to combat recidivism. In the field of child protection, the PJJ provides its expertise in evaluating situations of children in danger and implementing their follow-up. The PJJ, on a daily basis, consists of educators, social workers, psychologists, technical teachers... They design and implement educational and integration actions for the young people being supervised. Professionals of the PJJ work in open environment services, integration services, and placement facilities. They intervene with the court and in correctional facilities housing minors. The Interregional Directorate PJJ Grand Nord is one of the nine interregional directorates of judicial protection of youth. It is responsible for the organization of juvenile justice in the Hauts-de-France region. It is composed of 4 territorial directorates: - North - Pas-de-Calais - Somme and Aisne - Oise
