ProPotsdam – Potsdam's largest housing company at a glance ProPotsdam GmbH is the largest housing company in the state capital of Potsdam and a leader in urban renewal, urban development, housing construction, and housing welfare. ProPotsdam has its origins in the gemeinnützige Wohn- und Baugesellschaft mbH (GEWOBA), which was founded in 1990 and became part of the ProPotsdam corporate group in 2006. With over 18,000 rental apartments, ProPotsdam is the largest landlord and the most important provider of social housing in the city of Potsdam. ProPotsdam is a corporate group and unites eight municipal companies under its umbrella. The company's strategic direction is guided by "Sustainable Urban Development" and seeks a balance between ecological, economic, and social objectives in order to commit to the state capital in the long term. The companies focus on various areas, such as the development of new urban districts, the renovation of urban districts and properties, the rental and management of the housing stock, or the operation of public facilities such as the Biosphäre or the Luftschiffhafen sports park in Potsdam. Around 350 employees currently work at the Pro Potsdam locations, dedicating themselves to the city of Potsdam every day.
