Projects come in all shapes and sizes. And no digital product is the same. During the introductory meeting, we extensively discuss what is happening within the organization and what is needed. We determine what type of product owner is required, what expectations there are, and how many hours per week are needed. We then select the right product owner. They will meet with the key stakeholders in one or two interviews. As soon as there is a green light, a kick-off follows, where the product owner creates an action plan with deliverables for the first month. After that month, we conduct an evaluation together with the client to adjust the course if necessary. All our product owners are trained and strictly selected based on skills, experience, and attitude. Our product owners set aside time each week to improve. This can be through training, but we mainly do this by forming 'tandems'; days where one product owner shadows another product owner for the entire day. Our experience is that this is a very instructive day for both individuals, and the client will directly benefit from it.
