About Princesa Supermercados

We started our activities in 1983 with our first branch in Leme, Rio de Janeiro, aiming to serve the South Zone region. In 1998, there were already 6 branches in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, and in 2000, we invested in the West Zone with a branch in Jacarepaguá. By 2006, there were 15 branches, with the latest ones acquired in Búzios, Cabo Frio, and Barra de São João. In 2007, 3 more stores were inaugurated: Arraial do Cabo, Fonseca, and Maricá. In 2015, we opened another store in Niterói and three more in the Lakes Region, in Cabo Frio (our third store in the city) and now also in Araruama and Bacaxá (Saquarema). In May 2016, we inaugurated our third store in Arraial do Cabo and reached Iguaba Grande, currently having 26 branches in total. In 2008, administration and logistics were the focus of development: we moved to a new distribution center with a total of 12,000 m² of built area, air-conditioned space, and 14 receiving docks. We recognize that lasting partnerships, resulting from the credibility earned with our suppliers, the commitment and professionalism of our Human Capital, and the significant trust of our loyal customers, are a clear sign of the success of our business journey. We are convinced that we need to be customer-focused and that the Professionalization of Operations, Quality of Service, and Service Delivery will be the true differentiators for customer loyalty. Meeting their consumption needs is no longer enough; it is necessary to surprise them.
